American Councils for International Education - Georgia

American Councils Georgia is a non-profit organization that has administered educational and cultural exchange programs in Georgia since the early 1990s, many of them on behalf of the US Embassy and Department of State. The largest program administered in Georgia has been the Future Leaders' Exchange (FLEX) Program, though which several thousand Georgians have had the opportunity to spend an exchange year in the US as high school students over the past 25+ years. In previous years American Councils was active in administering the Undergraduate Exchange Program, the Muskie Fellowship, the Critical Languages Scholarship, and the Junior Faculty Exchange Program Georgia, and during the mid-2000s coordinated international technical assistance for the development of the Unified University Entrance Exams in Georgia. Aside from the FLEX Program, American Councils in Georgia currently administers the Professional Fellowship Program, the Open World Program, and a number of study abroad programs for US undergraduate and graduate students, including the Peace and Security in the South Caucasus Program in cooperation with Ilia State University. For the past ten years American Councils Georgia has also been one of the co-organizers, together with CRRC Georgia and ARISC, of the Tbilisi Works-in-Progress Series. American Councils Georgia is also an official representative of ETS/Prometric, and administer paper-based and computer based examinations in Georgia, including SAT, LSAT, TOEFL and GRE.

American Friends of Georgia

American Friends of Georgia, Inc. (AFG) is a non-profit, non-political U.S. charity. Since 1994 years it has helped establish and maintain groundbreaking and innovative projects for abandoned, disabled and sick children and elderly. AFG also preserves and promotes Georgian culture and collaborates with Georgian and foreign businesses to restore the tradition of philanthropy.

CNFA

The USAID Agriculture Program is a five-year USAID-funded program (2018-2023) that aims to accelerate the growth of agricultural sub-sectors to create jobs, grow incomes, and increase micro, small, and medium enterprise revenues in Georgia. Implemented by Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), an international agricultural development organization, the USAID Agriculture Program prioritizes the development of the berry, culinary herb, stone fruit, perishable vegetable, orchard fruit, table grape and mandarin value chains, and supports innovative solutions to scale-up the use of agricultural technologies within the country. CNFA has been designing and implementing market-driven agricultural initiatives in Georgia since 2006.

Georgian Red Cross Society

The Red Cross Society is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The Red Cross Society also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

GS-1 Georgia

GS1 Georgia is an organization that operates within the framework of GS1, an international non-profit organization that develops and maintains standards for business communication. GS1 Georgia focuses on implementing these standards within the country, aiming to improve efficiency and visibility in supply chains, as well as facilitate global trade. By providing unique identification codes for products, locations, and entities, GS1 Georgia enables businesses to streamline processes.

Knowledge Fund

MAC Georgia

MAC Georgia, a local nonprofit organization, has one goal: to transform the lives of Georgia's most vulnerable by providing the resources and services they need to maximize their potential. Throughout the country, MAC increases local skills and knowledge, expands access to information and resources, and extends hope and opportunity to those who need it most. Each year, disability programming equips thousands of teachers, parents, and service providers with the skills and knowledge necessary to help those in their care. The wheelchair and assistive technology initiative assists children with disabilities to obtain equipment that is right for them and that lets them live more actively and independently. MAC parent support programming establishes regional resource centers where parents and families get accurate, up-to-date information about disabilities, their rights, and the services that are available locally and nationally. MAC's impact extends beyond disabilities, however. The regional education program works closely with rural schools and encourages hundreds of at-risk village youths to be more active and engaged in extracurricular activities such as leadership camps, English language clubs, and theater programs. MAC believes that success begins with education, and we back that belief with action. Eighty-five students from across Georgia are attending university this year because of a MAC scholarship. Each of these students now has a chance to fulfill her/his potential as a future community leader. Through all of these and more, MAC work exemplifies the beliefs. For those with a disability, MAC's work inspires a new and more actively independent way of living that reaches beyond family and community; for young people, MAC's help inspires new and expanding futures that influence both community and country. PH International (Project Harmony Inc.)

PH International (formerly known as Project Harmony, Inc.) is an international non-profit organization working with people, communities, governments, academia, and corporations to build strong global communities by fostering civic engagement, cross-cultural learning, and increased opportunities in the digital age. PH International began its first educational, cultural, and public diplomacy programs in Georgia in 1986 and has had a permanent branch office in Tbilisi since 2000. With support from various U.S. Department of State bureaus, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, USAID, and private sector partners, PH International Georgia implements diverse and complex multimillion dollar in-country, regional, and international programs. With its cross-cultural team, in-country regional NGO partner network, and partnerships with government, private sector, and academia, PH Georgia is known for its grassroots programing approaches that promote local ownership, citizen empowerment, and sustainability. Some of PH Georgia's flagship initiatives include: professional, cultural, and educational exchange programs to the U.S. for Georgian adults and youth; the legal socialization initiative which focuses on juvenile crime prevention with an emphasis on supporting community policing approaches; civic education programming, improving the quality of school-based civic education and its practical applications in 60% of Georgian schools while also promoting informed and responsible citizenship; countering violent extremism through online and offline campaigns, capacity building and training; and English language programs providing specialized training to teachers and youth and improved English teaching and learning throughout Georgia by working in formal and non-formal educational settings across the country.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an international movement, describes itself as an evangelical movement and part of the "universal" Christian Church. It has a quasi-military structure and was founded in 1865 in the United Kingdom as the East London Christian Mission by William and Catherine Booth. It is well known for its evangelical, social and charitable work. The Salvation Army seeks to bring Christian salvation to the poor, destitute and hungry by meeting both their physical and spiritual needs.

San Diego State University - Georgia

SDSU Georgia will provide US-accredited bachelor's degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) areas in Tbilisi. This program is funded through the Millenium Challenge Account - Georgia, and was made official via the Memorandum of Understanding between San Diego State University and the Government of Georgia signed in July of 2014. The forst cohort of students in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Chemistry will be accepted in the Fall of 2015.

Webster University Georgia

Webster University was founded in 1915 as a private nonprofit entity, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Webster Global Network has more than 50 branches in more than 10 countries in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Webster University opened its new campus in the country Georgia, and will receive its first students in fall semester 2022.
Webster University Georgia is fully authorized internationally by HLC and in Georgia by the local MOE. Webster Georgia offers fully accredited (HLC) undergraduate and graduate programs in three directions: Business administration, International relations, Mass Communications.
